Lu Anhuai, is professor at the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University, director of the Materials and Environmental Mineralogy Research Center, and director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Mineral Environment Function at Peking University.
He has served as the chief scientist of major scientific frontier fields of China's key research and development plan (973 plan) twice, and is currently the chief scientist of China's key research and development plan.
Elected President of the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) (since 2020), Fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America (Fellow).
